Feist

 Feist was born in 1973 at Amherst which is placed in Nova Scotia of Canada. She started her music career at 15 through punk rock band, ‘Placebo(not English band,’Placebo’)’s lead vocal.

And she acted as a guitarist of indie band,'By Divine Right'. Also she toured many indie band(including 'Ramones')'s stages of opening performance. Then she crossed to England and she experienced various music activities.

(I think she is very pretty! I love her face!<3 I want to post her gorgeous pictures more, but her all pictures are beautiful. So, I couldn't select her picture more.)
 She was debuted in 1999, as [Monarch (Lay Your Jewelled Head Down)]. Even though she was not noticed through this album, She could imprint her name to many indie fans. And she could make stepping stone of her next album's success!

  In 2000, she went to Europ and she worked on her music career with Kings of Convenience that I posted. She participated in Kings of Convenience 2nd album [Riot On An Empty Street] in 2004.

 Know-How (Kings of Convenience)

(It's a cute reaction of Erlend Oye when Feist appear suddenly at Kings of Convenience's stage! His smiling face is so attractive in my eyes.<3 Of course,  Feist and Kings of Convenience's harmony is good to listen.)
 -And I recommend another collaboration song, Build up. I love this song more than Know-How.

 Her first major label album, [Let It Die] released, as soon as this album selected canadian best pop album. Many critics acclaimed her album and she awarded this year's single in Juno Awards which is so-called, 'Canadian Grammy Awards'.

Gatekeeper

Mushaboom

 And her third album, [The Reminder](2007) became flare of her musical position more solid. Her reputation of  her musical ability and praise are increased more and more. Also, first single of her 3rd album,  'My Moon My Man' was inserted in CF music of 'Apple company'. So, She gained fame all over the world and this album made a big hit.

My Moon My Man

 In 2012, she awarded 'Polaris Music'which is given to the best Canadian singer-songwriter through her 4th album, [Metals] at an awards opened in  Mesonic Temple of Bell Media, Toronto, Canada.

How Come You Never Go There

I think Feist is a perfect singer-songwriter who has unique voice, musical talents and beauty.

Tahiti 80

Tahiti 80 are a French indie pop band from Rouen and Paris. The group was founded in 1993 by Xavier Boyer, Pedro Resende, Médéric Gontier and Sylvain Marchand.

Singer and guitarist Boyer and bassist Resende formed the pop combo as students at the University of Rouen, sharing an affinity for indie music, new wave and sixties pop. Taking their name from a souvenir t-shirt given to Boyer's father in 1980, the duo recruited guitarist Mederic Gontier, and with the addition of drummer Sylvain Marchand a year later, the lineup was complete. The foursome released a self-produced and self-financed EP, "20 Minutes" which resulted in them signing a deal with French label Atmospheriques.

Their music resembles pop with soul tendencies. Especially, they have encountered a fair amount of success in Japan, notably. So, Xavier Boyer sometimes participates in featuring of famous Japanese musician’s album like FreeTEMPO, Mabanua. I think a reason that many musicians like him, because of his sweet voice. And I love his voice too.

<Unpredictable>

Unpredictable is cute and very cheerful song.

"My love she's unpredictable
She goes where the wind blows

My love she's unpredictable
She'll build me up just to knock me down"

And lyrics are matched well this melody and music video. What a lovely song!

<Easy>

This busking video of Tahiti 80 is my ideal busking. Their cheerful song, Easy is matched well an atmosphere of a park. I want to go there and get along with them.

<Open Book>

This song is popular in Korea. Because the song's mood is very romantic. (I almost fell in love with Xavier Boyer when i watch this video.<3) This video is famous music program "EBS Space 공감(Sympathy)" in 2011. Tahiti 80 invited in korea for his concert . They are very popular not only in Japan, but also in Korea. If you want to know his music, watch this program in EBS site.

<Heartbeat>

Please don't remind of 2PM's song, Heartbeat. (Oh, even these songs have same lyrics "Can you feel my heartbeat". Interesting!)  Their song is good too, but Tahiti 80's Heartbeat is much more awesome than theirs! This song is my number one love song. When i listen to this song, i feel like falling in love with someone. I think this song is the number one song of Tahiti 80.

Tahiti 80's songs are very cheerful and lovely like those songs. So many peaple called Tahiti 80's genre, "Sugar Pop". Because they are so sweet like sugar. I want to listen their other new Sugar songs. I Love Tahiti 80!

Arco

 Arco is slowcore band which is playing dreamlike melody based on speculative mood. Arco consists of Chris Healey(vocal and guitar), David Jeff Milligan(base guitar) and Nick Healey(drum) who is twins with Chris Healey.

 Arco began making music in 1998, releasing the “longsighted” and “ending up” eps on dreamy records in the uk. Then came the “coming to terms” album in 2000 , the “transparency” compilation (2002) on pehr, and the “restraint” album (2004). Having gigged in the uk, amsterdam and barcelona, 2005 saw them play a short tour of the us west coast. Their fourth album, “yield” was finished in jan 2010 and will be available initially on pastel in korea.

 Chris Healey's whispering voice and his twins, Nick Healey's druming, David Milligan's base playing is a perfect collaboration that i think. Their sound is silent and strong. Their lyrics ring in your ears while lulling your heart to a steady rhythm. You’ll never grow tired of their songs even as the seasons change. You’ll discover that there are musicians who still stay true to their art.

Especially, Arco is familiar to Korean fans through many commercial songs.

Sky (Cell phone) ‘straight line is sad’ : Lullaby

Mellon (Music site) ‘The moment when we need music-consolation’ : Perfect World

< Lullaby>

It's a dreamlike song. And it is a little bit sad song, but it is also cozy song.

<Perfect World>

I think this is the most beautiful and sensitive song in Arco’s music. Always, I’m touched when I listen to this song

<The Last Album : Yield>

 Their last album, ‘Yield’ is very impressive album with melancholy melody consisting of acoustic guitar, piano, trumpet and string. This album is more beautiful than any other albums cause this is not embellished album, but is full of their truly mind. But many fans feel the lack of their dissolution news.

<Stars - the track of album, 'Yield'>

Meanwhile singer Park Ji Yoon who is known for their fan, sighed deeply and said, "Their restrained sensibility and playing is impressive. I'm sad to hear that this is their last album."

It is such a sad thing that my favorite band is disappeared. I couldn't find this band's sensibility and feeling in many other band’s music. I hope to revive this band or to be born new band like Arco.

 “They are perfect band which attracted all European youngsters in one time playing by lyrical melody and psychedelic sounds. Also, they are equipped all elements that guitar and boys wish.” - NME
And the english broadcast, BBC chanel selected them as a super rookie in 2010.

(LOL)

As above, almost medias including NME, SPIN, Artrocker support Two Door Cinema Club eagerly and acclaim as a “Blockbuster Rookie”.

Two Door Cinema Club Undercover Martyn

This is my favorite music in their songs. I like its chorus, cause it is very addicted.

Two Door Cinema Club Sun

I love this music video and music. I think it is very creative!

Almost huge rock festivals including Summersonic want to invite Two Door Cinema Club in their Line-up. Someday I hope to see their fantastic live stage in Korea.

P.S Lucky! In 2013, Summersonic rock festival invite them as a headliner! I want to see their live music, but I am not in here when they are come to Korea. It’s a big tragedy.
