I selected Damien Rice as a First protagonist of
this blog. He is one of my favorite male musicians.
Damien Rice
Damien rice is musician from Ireland. He can play
the guitar, cello, violin, and drums. He started Music as Rock band 'Juniper' in 90's. In
his band, he released two single albums. But he seceded from his band and he
started his music soon. He released his debut album 'O' in 2002. This Album
prized 'Shortlist music prize'.

And his second album '9' is released in 2006. April
2009, Irish Times selected him as 34th in 'the best 50performance of Ireland'.
Also, It described him as "A strong and silent singer-songwriter who is
respected by strong and silent people the most", "Critically honest
singer-songwriter"
"The Blower's daughter"
'The Blower's daughter' is his one of popular song.
It is in his first album 'O', And this was
introduced for movie Closer (2004)‘s OST. This song's lyrics are the story about his real love story that he loved his clarinet teacher's daughter.
The movie‘s opening scene
is Dan and Alice's first meeting scene with this song. Dan and Alice stare each other in crowds in this
scene. It is very impressive and romantic. I think it is the best scene of the movie.
